Cosmetic and Body Tattoo Artists in Bend Oregon

Meet the Team

Melanie

Melanie is a cosmetic tattoo artist living and working in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Melanie worked in the fashion and cosmetic industry for over 10 years before meeting her tattoo artist husband, Edward, in 2009. Together, they opened Monolith Tattoo Studio and quickly became Central Oregon’s Best Place to get a Tattoo. They then went on to open Monolith Tattoo Academy in 2021, and now the cosmetic tattoo specialty studio called Adored Tattoo Boutique.

Melanie was previously a makeup artist and manager for MAC Cosmetics and missed her artistic outlet in the makeup industry. In 2017, she attended school, obtained her Cosmetic Tattoo Artist License and pursued advanced training in microblading.

Later, she opened her services up to microblading, ombre shaded eyebrows, and lip blushing tattoos. Her passion is to empower her clients and show them their full potential of beauty both inside and out.

Donna

Donna specializes in paramedical tattoos and permanent makeup. Her services include: areola restoration, 3D nipple tattooing, scar camouflage, radiation marker camouflage, stretch mark camouflage, scalp micropigmentation, microblading, combo brows ombre/powder brows, lash line enhancement, eyeliner tattoos, and more! She is a former school teacher turned tattoo artist, making the jump in 2020.

Art has always been in her heart, and she finds cosmetic and paramedical tattooing to be a satisfying artistic outlet. When she's not in the studio, you can find her engaged in some type of craft project. From polymer clay to sticks & stones, Donna always has something creatively-driven happening! She's a crystal-loving, fortuitous heart-collecting, spontaneous dancer full of positive energy who enjoys yoga, kayaking, and long river walks.

Donna loves making the world more beautiful one tattoo at a time, and enhancing the beauty and confidence of her clients.

Amanda

Amanda has been tattooing since May of 2023, starting her journey with Monolith Tattoo Academy. She joined the tattoo industry to continue impacting & working with the community through her unique, one of a kind artworks. Her grandmother played a huge hand in her career in tattooing.

She leans into the styles of fine-line, illustrative, & neo traditional, and enjoys tattooing designs focused on florals, insects, nature, and delicate & organic designs. When Amanda is not tattooing in the studio, you can usually find her engaging in some type of art activity at home, spending time at local breweries with friends and family, or exploring the PNW with her fiancé and puppy! Amanda was born and raised in Central Oregon and the cascade lakes highway is her favorite place to escape. Amanda studied Graphic Design in college and also participated in an internship with Walt Disney World before finding tattooing!

She loves painting large scale landscapes and murals, and challenging herself to tackle things outside of her comfort zone. Amanda usually listens to fun, alternative, funky music that makes you dance in your seat, think a little, and smile. She enjoys being able to connect with people through her artwork, and create something for people that they can permanently enjoy.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do before my permanent cosmetics appointment?

If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, please bring a couple reference photos to your appointment or bring in your brow makeup. You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we may take that into consideration. If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded, or tinted, please refrain from doing so within a week of your appointment.

If there are any stray hairs that fall outside of our final shape, we can remove them. Avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 48-hours prior to their appointment. Don't drink any alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to your appointment. No Botox for 3 weeks prior to microblading and no Botox 3 weeks after microblading. If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure. Avoid sun and tanning bed exposure for 10 days before and after your procedure. Keep your eyeshadow and foundation sheer to none but mascara, brows, and lips makeup are fine!

What will it look like immediately after?

Following the procedure, the pigment on the surface of the skin will begin to oxidize and appear darker/bolder. In 3-7 days the brow will begin to flake and peel, sometimes creating a spotty appearance until the entire brow has finished exfoliating. Immediately after peeling, the healing epidermis will cause the brow to appear light or muted over the next 4-6 weeks. The epidermis will normalize and the softened pigment will bloom back to the surface of the skin.

What should I expect once healed?

Healed results will vary from person to person. There are many variables that will affect your final result including your skin type, skin tone, colors used, skin thickness, medications and medical conditions, lifestyle, amount of natural brow hair, bleeding during procedure, aftercare, application techniques, and more. Results can not be guaranteed due to these factors. Most clients will experience a bold, crisp immediate result that will heal into a diffused and softened version.

How often will I need a follow up appointment?

Two sessions are required to complete most brows. The first session will be used to create shape and apply the foundation of the pigment and texture. Everyone heals and retains pigment differently and once healed you will return in 6-12 weeks for an additional touch up and layering session to complete your brows. Occasionally, certain clients may need or desire a 3rd session depending on their skin type or desired result. After your initial follow up is completed, maintenance is recommended every 12-18 months.
